The 2020 football season marks the 55th year that the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame has recognized local high schools and collegiate scholar-athletes. While pandemic-related challenges prevented us from hosting our annual banquet following the 2020 season, we were not deterred from continuing our long and important tradition of honoring these outstanding young men for their accomplishments not only on the gridiron, but in their classrooms and their communities.
Members of our Board of Directors will attempt to make individual award presentations to the honorees of the 69 area high schools and seven universities. Our Board of Directors and entire organization salute each of them. We wish them tremendous success beyond their high school days and thank them for their dedication to our great game of football!

Jason Amsler of Franklin High School received the “Admiral William P. Lawrence Award," the highest honor bestowed on a high school scholar-athlete. Special presentation to be made later this spring.

Andre Mintze of Vanderbilt University received the C.R. Bickerstaff / Bill Pace University Scholar-Athlete award, the highest honor presented to a local collegiate scholar-athlete.

This chapter is grateful for the long-time support of Wilson Bank & Trust, who at the 2020 banquet became the first-ever presenting sponsor of the event. Despite not having our 2021 banquet, the bank continued their generous support of our efforts. We thank the bank's CEO John McDearman and the entire Wilson Bank & Trust family for their continued generous support!
